CareTech appoints new leader for revenue cycle product line
CareTech Solutions, an information technology (IT) and health information management (HIM) services provider, announced the appointment of Claudia Birkenshaw as vice president of Revenue Cycle Solutions, a comprehensive approach to assist healthcare providers with revenue cycle management.
Birkenshaw possesses over 20 years of healthcare experience, nearly all of which have been in leadership roles for hospital patient accounting. Birkenshaw serves as co-founder and vice president of a healthcare revenue cycle learning solutions firm, PFS KnowledgeTrek. Prior to joining CareTech, Birkenshaw served as director of patient accounts for Health Revenue Assurance Associates in Plantation, Fla, and previously, as director of patient accounts at Munson Healthcare, a four-hospital Central Business Office in Traverse City, Mich.
