VirtualScopics names new president and CEO
Image-related biomarker provider VirtualScopics Inc. announced Monday the appointment of Jeffrey Markin as the company’s new president and chief executive officer, as well as a member of the board. Also announced was the board of directors’ election of Bob Klimasewski, former acting CEO, as vice chairman of the board.

Markin joined VirtualScopics as chief operating officer in May 2006.  In his new role, he also is responsible for the day-to-day operations and corporate strategy, as well as acting as the external contact with the investor community.
              
Prior to VirtualScopics, Markin was with Eastman Kodak Company for 26 years, most recently in the health group as vice president and general manager of output systems and mammography solutions. Previously, Markin held leadership positions in the document imaging business, including vice president of North American marketing, global general manager of the output business and general manager of the Asian-based services business with operations in China, Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia and Australia.
