Fujifilm Introduces New Products, Supports Education, & Exhibits Pulmonary Imaging Portfolio at Ats 2018

Allendale, N.J. – May 15, 2018 - FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. is exhibiting its portfolio of pulmonary imaging devices at the 114th annual international conference of the American Thoracic Society (ATS) in San Diego, Calif., May 18 – 23. During the conference, Fujifilm will support educational opportunities through its participation in the Clinicians Center workshop. New this year, the company will bring its recently-launched EB-530P Slim Video Bronchoscope and its Radial Probe EBUS System (PB2020-M) to booth 2915, introducing new innovations to over 16,000 healthcare professionals.

“We’re excited to expand our pulmonary portfolio at this year’s ATS. Our Radial Probe EBUS System will allow our providers to have enhanced ultrasonic visualization when performing pulmonary examinations, and the addition of the EB-530P broadens our bronchoscopy product portfolio,” said Keiichi Nagata, president of FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc.

Fujifilm’s Radial Probe EBUS System is designed to provide real-time ultrasound imaging of targeted peripheral lung lesions prior to biopsy. The PB2020-M is a radial ultrasonic transducer that is inserted through the instrument channel of a bronchoscope, localizing the exact position of the lesion.

Fujifilm’s EB-530P has a 3.8 mm outer diameter, making it the slimmest bronchoscope in the collection. The Slim Video Bronchoscope has a 1.2 mm instrument channel and features Fujifilm’s proprietary Super CCD Technology.

Also available at booth #2915 will be two interactive EBUS stations featuring the Ultrasound Video Bronchoscope (EB-530US), specifically designed for supporting diagnosis and staging and is equipped with a unique 10 degree forward oblique view which allows for optimal maneuverability and visibility. Also included within these two stations will be the SU-1 Ultrasonic Processor. Fujifilm will showcase its high-resolution video bronchoscopes including the EB-530H Standard “Super Image” Video Bronchoscope which has a wide angle image of 140 degrees, 20 degrees wider than the conventional view.

On May 21, from 12:50 - 2:00 p.m., Fujifilm will support the Clinicians Center Workshop session titled “Advanced Diagnostic Bronchoscopy.” Fujifilm will provide one EBUS tower of equipment for use in the interactive session, which will highlight the basic principles and innovations of advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy including EBUS and navigational bronchoscopic approaches, tools, and techniques.
