ASTRO announces 2004 award winners
The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) this week released the names of the recipients of the 2004 Junior Faculty Research Award and Resident Clinical/Basic Research Award.
Philip P. Connell, MD, assistant professor, Department of Cellular and Radiation Oncology at the University of Chicago Hospitals, was selected to receive the Junior Faculty Research Award.
Matthew T. Carpenter, MD, of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Christopher D. Jahraus, MD, of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, Ky., and Emma Elizabeth Thomas, MB, ChB, of the Cookridge Hospital in the United Kingdom, will receive the Resident Clinical/Basic Science Research Award.
