B-K Medical, a wholly owned subsidiary of Analogic, and Advanced Medical Diagnostics, have signed an agreement under which they will deploy the HistoScanning tissue characterization technology for the prostate.

HistoScanning is a tissue differentiation, visualization and measurement technology designed to assist specialists in identifying changes to solid organ tissues. The technology works in conjunction with trans-rectal ultrasound procedures and extracts new information from prostate ultrasound data, according to the Copenhagen, Denmark-based B-K and the Waterloo, Belgium-based Advanced Medical.
