ClearCube demonstrates the power of PC Blade technology
ClearCube Technology showed its Horizon PatientVision bedside device at HIMSS06 last week in San Diego. A bedside display combines secure access to personalized and clinically relevant patient information, hospital services for clinicians and education with on-demand entertainment, Internet access and e-mail for patients. As the physician approaches the bedside, the display automatically converts to the patient’s records. The physician enters a password.  ClearCube PC Blade architecture provides the power and flexibility of the PC with the available security and control of a server, giving customers the best of both worlds. The system allows users to stay where they are and let IT professionals do user support work behind the scenes without interrupting clinician workflow or contaminating a sterile environment. The company polled its 1,300 customers and found their top three reasons for implementing PC Blade architecture were security, form factor and manageability.

ClearCube and Motion Computing also announced the development of a Tablet Client solution that offers healthcare providers a convenient and secure mobile computing system. Utilizing a Tablet Client that is connected to a centralized PC Blade, doctors and nurses can instantly access and manage electronic medical records at the point of care.
