Codonics is on board at SCAR 2005 showcasing its Horizon Ci multi-media dry imager that integrates into PACS environments. The desktop printer produces diagnostic quality medical films as well as color and grayscale paper images. The imager is compatible with many industry standard protocols including DICOM and Windows network printing. Horizon also offers direct modality connection, with up to 12 DICOM connections simultaneously.

Also on display is Horizon's DirectVista Paper, a medical-intended media, which is a fully archive-able film alternative designed specifically for the referring physician's hardcopy requirements. DirectVista Paper allows the referring physician to conduct patient consults without a lightbox, and provides up to 70 percent savings over film, according to Codonics.
