Del Medical launches Apollo DRF
Del Medical Technologies launched the Apollo DRF at the 93rd annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) last month in Chicago. The system offers a full-featured, multi-functional table with dynamic flat panel detector that produces full-field, high resolution imaging for a broad range of radiographic and fluoroscopic exams.

The 17x17-inch detector creates a substantially larger field of view, higher resolution and no distortion when compared to a traditional image intensifier. The detector acquires dynamic sequences and fluoroscopy up to 30 frames per second for GI procedures or organ localization. The system will be introduced in the second quarter of 2008 with FDA certification pending.

The company also announced the DEL Image Management System DR acquisition system for use in a broad range of radiographic studies. The system is designed to deliver outstanding image quality and constituency and improve diagnostic workflow in the exam room and throughout the department. It includes a Trixell flat panel detector, an integrated operator console and complete generator integration. The Trixell Pixium 4600 DR panel converts x-ray energy into a digital image for more rapid review and diagnosis.

Del Medical has signed a three-year supply agreement with Analogic, an OEM supplier of high-performance medical imaging systems. Del Medical will market and sell advanced single and dual detector digital radiography systems designed and manufactured by Analogic for high-volume general radiography, emergency and orthopedic applications.
