Double Black unveils new large color LCD for surgery and ER
Double Black Imaging (DBI) has announced their partnership with SHARP Electronics as a distributor for the medical market. Simultaneously, the company has announced the release of the PN-455, a 45 inch color LCD for use in operating and emergency rooms.
This 45” high-bright color LCD with full 1920 x 1080 resolution, 500 cd/m2 brightness and a contrast ratio of 800:1 provides bright, crisp images. The metal enclosure with dual cooling fans makes this LCD ideal for the rigorous demands of OR and ER environments. Multiple inputs, including digital DVI-D, Component Video, Composite, S-Video, VGA and RS-232, allow the PN-455 to work with any system. Unlike other large format LCDs or plasma screens, the PN-455 LCD is resistant to image retention or burn-in effects, adding to its performance and reliability.
DBI bundles this LCD with a 2.3 mega-pixel full digital graphic controller and DICOM calibration software designed for medical imaging applications.
