Eastern Isotopes Inc. has made a move to expand its PET (positron emission tomography) tracer production and distribution network through the acquisition of Pharmalogic LLC, with its facilities, which include cyclotrons, located in New York, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.
   
The acquisition has been made through Eastern Isotopes' parent company IBA (Ion Beam Applications S.A.) based in Europe. The move is part of the company's overall global network strategy and also to give a boost to U.S. distribution channels.
