Fujifilm, Premier renew supply pact
Fujifilm Medical Systems USA Inc. and Premier Purchasing Partners L.P. have extended their three-year purchasing agreement.
The companies estimate the value of the pact at approximately $85 million.
As the group purchasing division of Premier Inc., Premier Purchasing Partners will offer its 1,500 hospital members Fuji's line of cassette-based computed radiography (CR) products. The contract includes Fuji's newest CR product, the XG5000. The high capacity cassette-based digital x-ray device is designed to process up to 165 imaging plates per hour.
The contract is effective through Dec. 31, 2006. Fujifilm and Premier also have a medical film and imager contract, which commenced in August 2003.
