GE has new leader for MR business unit
GE Healthcare has promoted John Chiminski as vice president and general manager of the company's Global Magnetic Resonance (MR) business. Chiminski replaces Dennis Cooke, who was recently selected to lead GE Infrastructure's Homeland Protection business.

Chiminski is a 17-year career veteran of GE and a GE Officer, serving a variety of roles in operations, engineering and service.  Prior to his position as vice president of global services, Chiminski's career centered in technology, where he led the development of GE's x-ray, vascular and computed tomography (CT) product lines.

According to GE, Chiminiski was the technology leader responsible for the introduction of GE's first multislice CT scanner, the GE LightSpeed.
