GE Healthcare names new leader of PACS business
GE Healthcare (GEHC) last week announced that Tom Riesenberg has joined the company and will now serve as global general manager of Imaging.
     
Riesenberg is overseeing the company's technologies that provide the diagnostic toolset that enable radiologists to manage the storage and sharing of medical images acquired from imaging systems, such as CT, MR and x-ray. 

GEHC's Imaging business includes Centricity PACS, RIS/PACS, Web, and Enterprise Archive, plus IT customer service, enterprise image management and advanced remote monitoring.

Riesenberg previous experience includes almost 30 years in healthcare IT including both the vendor and customer sides. Before accepting this post, he was with Siemens where for 15 months he held the position of director of Global Implementations for the Image Management (IM) business. Riesenberg joined Siemens through the acquisition of Shared Medical Systems (SMS), after working at SMS for 18 years in a number of executive positions covering professional services and technology operations.
