GE shows new cardiac workstation, diagnostic software tools
GE Healthcare showcased its latest Centricity Cardiology CA1000, version 2.0. The company unveiled the version at ACC 2007 in New Orleans. Version 2.0 provides tools for analysis, segmentation, measurements, annotation, filming and exporting of clinically relevant images. It combines the DICOM viewing capabilities of Centricity Cardiology CA1000 with the advanced 3D clinical analysis tools of Centricity AW Suite 2.0.  This version provides the ability to manage licenses either concurrently or seat based. This enables facilities to leverage licenses across the hospital.  Additionally, this product release enables integrated ECG viewing on the GE Muse and other external devices.

Also at the show, GE introduced new capabilities to the CardioSoft Diagnostic software that can transform almost any PC into a system capable of acquiring resting ECG, exercise stress, ambulatory blood pressure and spirometry. The software’s EasyOne CS Spirometer utilizes a patented ultrasound flow technology to capture spirometry data and provide calibration-free spirometry testing when used with CardioSoft. Through USB connectivity, the device connects to any computer running GE’s CardioSoft Diagnostic Software.
