Kodak's Health Imaging Group adds two radiology groups
Montclair Radiology Associates PA of Montclair, N.J., and North Fork Radiology PC of Riverhead, N.Y., have purchased digital medical image capture and information management systems from Eastman Kodak Co.'s Health Imaging Group.

Montclair Radiology Associates purchased a Kodak DirectView PACS System 5 with Web distribution capabilities to manage and store MRI, CT and ultrasound imaging exams conducted at its three diagnostic imaging centers. The system will include diagnostic workstations at each imaging center and the ability to transmit imaging studies over the internet to the central archive and to radiologists' home offices, Kodak said.

The radiology group, which operates three diagnostic imaging centers, also purchased Kodak healthcare network services, part of Kodak's professional services offerings, to design and install a network for the new electronic system.

In addition to Kodak's PACS, North Fork Radiology purchased a DirectView CR 950 computed radiography system to serve patients and staff at its private offices. The CR system will provide digital capture for general radiology exams, while the PACS manages and stores images and information.
