Two more EHR software products have been certified by the Certification Commission for Healthcare IT. Products from iMedica (Patient Relationship Manager 2005 Version 5.1) and INFOR-MED (Praxis Electronic Medical Records Version 3.4) met the commission’s criteria for functionality, interoperability and information security. Also, two previously conditionally certified products – Community Computer Service’s MEDENT 16 and LSS Data Systems’ Medical and Practice Management Suite, Client Server Version 5.5 – are now certified.

After certifying 22 ambulatory HER products during the first round of certifications, the commission is accepting vendor applications for the second round of ambulatory products certified until August 14. Certified products will be announced in October.
