Digisonics has launched OB-Net and OB-View Net, web-based versions of the company’s OB-Windows clinical reporting system and OB-View image management & reporting system for OB/GYN. OB-Net and OB-View Net are designed for fully functional remote interpretation of ultrasound studies away from the office. OB-Net provides web-based access to an integrated database, comprehensive fetal growth analysis, and professional clinical reporting. OB-View Net combines high-performance image review workstations, a PACs image archive, an integrated database, comprehensive fetal growth analysis, and configurable reporting, all available through the web. Both systems offer automated report dissemination, auto-generation of referral letters, and are fully HIPAA compliant with electronic signature and audit trail.
Merge eMed announced the release of Fusion RIS Version 3.1, with enhancements designed to improve overall productivity capabilities. New in this version are a new Call Center Scheduler module; an updated Fusion Delivery Service; mammography updates for compliance with the newest American College of Radiology CR BI-RADS standards; and a new RIS/PACS configuration for accommodating film within PACS.
Siemens Medical Solutions announced its ACUSON Antares ultrasound system 4.0, premium edition. This edition features shared service cardiology applications in addition to the complete range of general imaging applications and advanced clinical applications such as 3D/4D and contrast agent imaging. With its enhanced imaging performance, the system is designed to enable physicians to better view disease, even with the most technically difficult-to-image patients. The Antares system also includes a high-resolution 19-inch flat panel display mounted on an articulating arm for optimal viewing position. Other ergonomic features include the natural and extended reach zone concept that places controls and peripheral devices so that they are easily accessible.
