Optimal Reading completes first-round financing
Radiology services provider Optimal Reading Services Group said that it has completed its first round of institutional financing. The Birmingham, Ala.-based firm did not disclose the amount it raised in capitalization initiative, which was led by Health Enterprise Partners.

Optimal Reading will use the investment to expand its service offerings and market territories, the company said. The service provider is led by chief medical officer, Dr. Neal Templeton, former president and chairman of the American College of Radiology and a current trustee and chairman of the finance committee for Baptist Health System, and chief executive officer, Craig Parker, who most recently served as executive vice president of enterprise medical imaging software developer Emageon, also of Birmingham.
