Sales improve for Evolved, though otherwise tough Q2
Montreal, Canada-based Evolved Digital Systems Inc. reported declines in revenue of about 18 percent, with revenue for the three- and six-month periods ended on June 30 of $2.8 million and $5.9 million, respectively. This compares to $3.6 million and $7.6 million in 2005 during the same period.  However, the company reported seeing positive signs on the sales end due to licensing and distribution gains (largely in new software license fees) amounting to year-to-date sales of over $800,000, the company said.

Loss from operations for the company was $636,000 and $1.1 million for the three- and six-month periods in this year, remaining relatively consistent with losses from prior comparable periods of $715,000 and $1.1 million, respectively.

Net loss for Evolved was $1.1 million and $2.05 million for the three-and six-month periods as compared to $984,000 and $1.6 million for the same time in 2005.
