Storage market is booming
Merrill Lynch sees the networked and attached data storage market outpacing the server or personal computer market, according to a recent survey of the market.  ML analysts predict that in 2006-2007 the growth rate for the storage systems will be 11 percent, compared to just 2 percent for the server market and 6 percent for PCs.

Additionally, more companies are devoting larger chunks of their yearly IT budgets towards storage with an additional 2.4 percent expected in 2006, according to the Merrill Lynch report.
