Telehealth 2003 to be a global event
Luggage, air-fare and hotel accommodations are not necessary for Telehealth 2003, the seventh annual international conference of the Association of Telehealth Service Providers (ATSP).

What is required is a telephone, as ASTP hosts its annual conference in a teleconference format Sept. 16-18. Attendees can call into the conference using a standard phone line. Watching the presenters' PowerPoint slides from the conference website is optional.

This year's ATSP conference will concentrate on quantifying return on investment (ROI) for telehealth applications. It will also explore areas that are easily overlooked in the advent of telehealth, such as medical billing, shared medical records and dedicated patient initiative.

ATSP has chosen to hold its annual meeting in a teleconference style for the second straight year to emphasize its mission in promoting the use of telecommunications to improve the distribution of healthcare services.

The three-day event begins each morning at 9 a.m. PST and ends 1 p.m. PST.
