Vital Images Inc. this week signed an integration agreement with Swedish IT company Sectra.

Under the terms of the agreement, Vital Images' Vitrea 2 software for 3D visualization and analysis will be integrated with Sectra's PACS (picture archiving and communications systems).

Effective immediately, the partnership will give all current and future Sectra PACS customers who have purchased Vitrea the ability to access the visualization tools at their Sectra workstations.

Accessing Vitrea through a PACS network gives more radiologists and referring physicians access to the 3D visualization and analysis tools.
