Volugraphics releases new Volugram printer
Volugraphics Inc. of Atlanta, Ga., this week released a new three-dimensional (3D) hardcopy printing and imaging system that delivers autostereoscopic prints and transparencies. The autostereoscopic hardcopies called Volugrams can be produced from any 3D medical imaging modality, including ultrasound, MRI, CT, PET/SPECT and rotational angiography.

According to Volugraphics, the system can produce the first copy of a full-color Volugram in about seven minutes, with a material cost of less than $3 for an 8 X 10-inch print or transparency. Subsequent hardcopies can be produced at a rate of more than 25 per hour.
