Wisconsin hospital goes digital with Carestream solutions
Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville, Wis., is converting from radiographic film and paper, to a digital imaging and information management solution from Carestream Health.

The purchase includes Carestream RIS/PACS and Carestream Hosted Information Management, two Kodak Directview Classic CR systems and a Kodak Dryview 6800 laser imager, to serve the hospital and its three outpatient clinics.

The company said its Carestream RIS/PACS and Classic CR systems are designed to facilitate conversion from a film and paper environment. Physicians will order imaging exams online, patient scheduling will take place electronically, and the exams will be captured digitally and transmitted to PACS for reading and storage. The final radiology report will be available electronically to authorized clinicians. Patient information and imaging exams will be transmitted to a Carestream data center for long-term storage and disaster recovery.
