Device to allow MRI measurements of tumor oxygen levels

The ability to measure a tumor’s oxygen levels could help guide treatment decisions, and now, for the first time, a method to reliably and noninvasively take such measurements could soon be available. A team of researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has developed an injectable device that can monitor oxygen levels long-term and be read with MRI.
