Baylor HealthCare to extend GE Centricity EMR contract
Baylor HealthCare System, a Dallas-based nonprofit healthcare provider, plans to extend the reach of GE Healthcare’s Centricity EMR across its entire HealthTexas Provider Network (HTPN).

The Dallas-based HTPN will implement Centricity EMR for the organization’s remaining physicians. By the time the installation is complete, Centricity EMR will help Baylor physicians manage more than 1.3 million patient visits each year, according to GE Healthcare, of Barrington, Ill.

Centricity EMR will assist physician office-based care providers and clinical staff at HTPN to document patient encounters, streamline clinical workflow and exchange clinical data with patients, other providers of care and service providers throughout the healthcare delivery system, GE Healthcare added.
