Dictaphone announces numerous installs
Dictaphone Healthcare Solutions Group recently announced the signing of numerous new contracts for the company's speech recognition systems. The sales include systems that support both provider-controlled self-editing and transcription-assisted 'background' recognition.

Some of the most significant facilities that have purchased the systems include St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, Myrtle Werth Hospital, Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Cape Cod Hospital, South Jersey Radiology, USC Radiology Associates, Tampa General Hospital, Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, and Royal Columbian Hospital (Frasier Health Authority).

Dictaphone's speech recognition systems includes EXSpeech an enterprise-wide speech system that provides accurate recognition of voice files created by telephone and PC-based microphones, and the software permits both medical transcriptionist editing and physician self-editing of speech recognized. Additionally, Dictaphone's PowerScribe system is designed to dramatically reduce report turnaround time and costs.
