Medical imaging disrupter Nanox has appointed Moshe Shtengel as its new chief business officer, the company announced Monday.
Shtengel joins the Israeli-based corporation from Tuttnauer, a global manufacturer of sterilizers and infection control systems for healthcare institutions, where he was vice president of global sales, marketing and products.
He joins the firm nearly one month after it gained federal clearance for its novel single-source X-ray technology.
“With the recent FDA clearance of the Nanox Cart X-Ray System and potential clearance of the multi-source system for commercial use, I am delighted and privileged to join the company and contribute to a successful launch plan that maximizes the reach of this potentially life-saving technology,” Shtengel said in a statement. “I look forward to achieving the company’s goal of democratizing medical imaging globally.”
Canon appoints new executive leadership
Canon U.S.A. recently announced a slew of executive appointments to fill out its leadership team.
The company’s hirings include Isao Kobayashi, who was promoted to vice president and general manager, and Brain Mahar, who was also promoted to vice president, both in the Imaging Technologies and Communications Group.
The digital imaging solutions leader promoted a number of other executives, including new Vice President and General Manager of Corporate Planning Shinya Fukuda and Vice President and General Manager of Corporate IT Yukinari Kaneta, among others.
“These dedicated individuals have epitomized valuable leadership and expertise in helping Canon to cement and maintain its status as a leader in the digital imaging solutions industry,” President and CEO Kazuta Ogawa said April 15. “I appreciate their committed service and accomplishments and wish them all the best with their new roles."
Butterfly Network builds out management team
Point-of-care ultrasound manufacturer Butterfly Network has brought in Timothy Trodden as its senior vice president and chief human resources officer, effective April 19.
The Guilford, Connecticut, company created this position specifically for Trodden, who will oversee the development and implementation of Butterfly’s “people strategy” to align with the firm’s growing business.
Most recently, Trodden led talent and culture strategy at managed healthcare company WellCare Health Plans. He also brings 16 years of HR and talent strategy experience from his time spent with Johnson & Johnson.
