NovaRad awarded two PACS installation contracts
It will be a busy January for NovaRad, as the company completes contracts from Radiology Associates of Macon (Ga.) and the Community Choice Healthcare Network in Washington.

Both installations of the NovaPACS are on schedule for completion this month.

In the case of Radiology Associates of Macon, it will mean the facility becoming 100 percent filmless. Future plans are to integrate Radiology Associates' existing radiology information system (RIS) with the NovaPACS.

The Community Choice Healthcare Network pact includes NovaRad's NovaPACS, computed radiography (CR) technologies and RIS integration software. The network includes six hospitals in Washington state: Cascade Medical Center in Leavenworth; Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee; Lake Chelan Community Hospital in Chelan; Mid-Valley Hospital in Omak; North Valley Hospital in Tonasket; and Okanogan-Douglas District Hospital in Brewster.

The NovaPACS will replace the hospitals' emulsion film systems.

The Community Choice Healthcare Network hospitals and clinics serve more than 140,000 individuals and complete on average 54,000 radiology studies per year.
