The Radiological Society of North America has named two candidates to serve as “at-large” members on the organization’s board of directors, RSNA announced Wednesday.
Jinel A. Scott, MD, a radiologist who represents RSNA in multiple health equity efforts and Richard E. Heller III, MD, director of pediatric radiology at Radiology Partners, will serve three-year terms under the advocacy group’s newly amended bylaws.
RSNA modified the size of its board from eight to between seven and 11 members in order to bring more perspectives to the decision-making process.
“RSNA recognizes the value that inclusion of diverse leadership brings to the profession, the importance of representing the diversity of perspectives across society membership, and the critical role leadership opportunities play in career development,” board Chair Matthew A. Mauro, MD, said Nov. 3.
Sectra’s chief transitioning to a new position
Mats Franzén, chief financial officer of medical imaging specialist Sectra, will transition into a new role as industrial doctoral student and senior advisor to its management, the company said recently.
Franzen, who has been with the Linköping, Sweden-based firm since 2016, will retain his position until a new CFO is hired or on June 20, 2022, Sectra noted.
"Mats Franzén has been and is a great asset to Sectra. Now that he has decided to do his PhD, which we appreciate, it is very valuable that he will continue to work part time in a new role as senior advisor and expert in the group directly under me as the CEO," said Torbjörn Kronander, president and CEO of Sectra AB.
Hyperfine names new CCO
Hyperfine Inc. has appointed Scott White as its new chief commercial officer, the portable MRI developer first announced Oct. 28.
White brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, including his most recent position as vice president of global sales at Rapid Micro Biosystems. He has also held various titles at Intuitive Surgical and Compass Surgical.
"The team at Hyperfine is committed to effecting permanent change to the hospital environment to better serve medical professionals and patients around the world," White added. "I'm incredibly passionate about medical innovation, as well as the opportunity to help Hyperfine achieve its mission to increase access to MR imaging globally."
