Thieves take $450K worth of colonoscopes from Philadelphia hospital

Police are on the hunt for three people who stole $450,000 worth of colonoscopes from a suburban Philadelphia hospital, according to a report from NBC 10 Philadelphia.

On Saturday, April 26 around 7:30 a.m., two men and one woman broke into Lankenau Medical Center and took multiple Olympus colonoscopes, which are used during colonoscopies.

The police released video surveillance footage of the break-in along with descriptions of the individuals. As of now, there aren’t many answers as to what happened, NBC 10 reported.

"This is the first time we have encountered this type of theft, so we don't have all the answers," Lower Merion Police Detective Sergeant Michael Vice said in the story.
