AngioDynamics adds to exec team
AngioDynamics has appointed Scott Solano as senior vice president (VP) and chief technology officer, and Scott Etlinger to the position of senior VP of global operations.
Solano will lead global research, product development and intellectual property activities. Etlinger will have responsibility for manufacturing, sourcing and global supply chain management.
The Albany, N.Y.-based company said the appointments are effective immediately, and Solano and Etlinger will join its executive leadership team, reporting directly to Jan Keltjens, its president and CEO.
Solano previously served as president and CEO of Arterial Vascular Engineering, a cardiovascular stent company that was acquired by Medtronic. Additionally, Solano worked at Medtronic for more than seven years in executive positions in technology management, new product development and operations, primarily in its interventional vascular business. Earlier in his career, Solano gained R&D and engineering experience at C. R. Bard, Mallinckrodt Medical and Olympus.
Etlinger previously served as chief operating officer of Dental Services Group, a dental services and manufacturing company. Previously, he was the senior VP of global operations at American Medical Systems. Etlinger also was with Zimmer (formerly Centerpulse Orthopedics), an orthopedic implant developer, for a decade, starting as global financial controller before rising to VP of global supply chain.
