The Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will hold a Medicare Evidence Development & Coverage Advisory Committee (MedCAC) meeting on Nov. 19 to evaluate the use of CT colonography (CTC) as a cancer screening test for average risk individuals.

The meeting will discuss evidence that is useful to support requests for Medicare coverage in this field, according to the agency.

The meeting will be open to the public, in accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act.

The MedCAC meeting will be held at the CMS office in Baltimore. Written comments must be submitted by Oct. 20 to Maria Ellis, executive secretary for MedCAC. Speakers must also register by Oct. 20.
