GE appoints King as global VP
GE Healthcare announced last week that Laura King has been named global vice president, interventional, cardiology and surgery.

King -- who has worked for GE for 20 years -- has managed the GE Healthcare operation since March 2004. Now in her corporate role, she will oversee all aspects of the division, which makes catheterization and related surgical products.

She previously served as general manager of sourcing from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, she was general manager of services for the Northeast Region of the United States. In 1995, King was the business leader for GEHC's Global Mammography segment. King also held a series of roles in finance and operations within GE's industrial segment from 1991-1994.
