iCAD founder, chairman to retire
iCAD, a computer-aided detection (CAD) application developer, has announced that its founder and chairman of the board, Robert Howard, will retire, effective Nov. 1. 

Howard has said is resigning as chairman to devote more time to personal and philanthropic activities, according to the Nashua, N.H.-based company.

iCAD said Howard was CEO from February 1984 until December of 1993 and its chairman since 1984. Howard also founded and served as president and chairman of the board of Centronics Data Computer, a manufacturer of computer printers, from 1969-1980.
