MedcomSoft appoints former Bush staffer to board
MedcomSoft, an EHR provider, has announced that James Haveman has joined its healthcare advisory board.

In 2003, Haveman was appointed by President George W. Bush to the Iraq Coalition Provisional Authority, according to the Atlanta-based MedcomSoft. Haveman is currently a member of the defense business board of the U.S. Department of Defense and the International Aid board of directors, and has served on nearly 70 other healthcare and social service boards throughout his career, MedcomSoft said.

The company said its board members are drawn from both the public and private sector and provide guidance on several corporate programs, including product enhancements and strategic marketing.
