QuadraMed has named James E. Peebles chairman of its board of directors, replacing Robert Pevenstein, who has served as chairman for the last three and one-half years.

Peebles' move into the chairmanship follows closely on the heels of the appointment of Duncan James to be CEO of the the Reston-Va.-based health IT developer.

“Bob Pevenstein has done an outstanding job, and I will continue to rely heavily on him for guidance and assistance. I am also looking forward to working with Duncan James as I am confident that the expertise and strategy that he brings to the team will continue to strengthen QuadraMed’s prestige in the healthcare industry,” said Peebles.

Pebbles will remain as the chairman of the audit committee.
