Stanford Hospital taps new prez, CEO
The board of directors at Stanford Hospital & Clinics in California has appointed Amir Dan Rubin as its president and CEO, who will succeed Martha Marsh, the facility's former CEO, who retired in September.

Rubin, who is currently chief operating officer (COO) at the UCLA Health System in Los Angeles, will assume the new role Jan. 3, 2011.

Previously, Rubin has served as the COO of Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, N.Y., and began his career in healthcare consulting.
