Visage allies with Siemens, Agfa
CHICAGO, Nov. 27—Visage Imaging, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mercury Computer Systems, has formed agreements with Siemens Medical Solutions and Agfa HealthCare. The alliances were announced at the 93rd annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).

In alliance with Siemens, the Carlsbad, Calif.-based Visage will deliver advanced 3D visualization and image distribution solutions to hospitals and imaging centers. Siemens will integrate Visage’s advanced 3D thin-client platform into its Sienet Magic product line. The added component plugs right into the existing IT infrastructure and takes advantage of its configuration of users, image access rights and DICOM routing, according to Visage.

Agfa HealthCare will integrate Visage’s CS Thin Client/Server into its IMPAX PACS product line to provide enterprise-wide advanced visualization capabilities. Visage said the integration ensures that large image data volumes can reside on a central server, and interactive 3D and 4D viewing and post-processing can be performed from a client computer using an innovative thin-client streaming technology.
