Researchers at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals Case Medical Center hope to improve treatment and survival rates of ischemic heart disease patients by providing doctors an unprecedented look at the stents they place in coronary arteries.

Agfa HealthCare today announced the installation of two DX-D 300 digital radiography (DR) systems at Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology, a growing practice with 15 locations in Long Island, N.Y., which conducts an average of 550,000 procedures each year. The installation of a third DX-D 300 system will follow by the end of the year, with several additional installations to equip new imaging center sites that Zwanger-Pesiri is opening in 2014.
