Digirad to release new cardiac SPECT system
Digirad, a provider of medical diagnostic imaging systems and services, will release Cardius X-ACT, a cardiac SPECT system with X-ACT attenuation correction.

The Poway, Calif.-based Digirad said its system uses the Cardius-3 XPO camera's solid state detectors with an x-ray tube, and the X-ACT approach exploits the high-count rate capabilities of solid-state detectors and uses the full 24-inch-wide triple-head detector geometry to eliminate truncation.

The product will be displayed at the American College of Cardiology's 57th Annual Scientific Session and Exposition to be held March 29-April 1 in Chicago.
