Siemens updates Arcadis C-arm
Siemens Medical Solutions highlighted enhancements to Arcadis C-Arms at the 2008 RSNA conference that took place in Chicago in December.
New features include an ergonomic monitor trolley and an easy user interface for an optimal user experience. The ergonomically optimized and easily manageable monitor trolley with monitor screens can be adjusted in height and rotated by 180 degrees in the horizontal. An intelligent algorithm automatically adjusts and optimizes image quality in all imaging situations. All systems are suitable for clinical applications in orthopedics, trauma, and neurosurgery, as well as gastroenterology, vascular and cardiac surgery or in urology. The new Enhanced Acquisition System (EASY) automatic imaging processing features further simplifies intraoperative imaging. With EASY, Arcadis C-arms automatically analyze the images during acquisition to optimize dose, brightness and contrast.
The Arcadis Family of C-Arms includes Siemens Arcadis Varic, Arcadis Avantic and Arcadis Orbic (Orbic 3D) mobile C-arms, all based on the syngo software platform that facilitates clinical workflows and makes it possible to view images from other modalities, store acquired images to archives or external storage media and select up to 200 default examination programs. To continuously improve the clinical workflow, the user interface integrates a basic menu to accelerate system operation and an extended menu for more complex requirements.
