ACS to spotlight EHR offerings
Business process and information technology outsourcing firm Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) will be showcasing its integrated suite of electronic health record (EHR) products at the 2007 Medical Management Information System (MMIS) conference in San Diego this week.

The EHR suite provides a single online portal for physicians, pharmacists, payers and patients to access clinical and claims information from a wide variety of sources, as well as integrating the data with clinical and business rules (such as drug treatment guidelines and health claims procedures), according to the Dallas-based ACS.

The EHR offering is comprised of five products: CyberAccess, a physician EHR and e-prescribing system; DirectCarePro, an EHR and medication-therapy management program administration for pharmacists; DirectInform, an EHR application for patients; CyberFormance, a health plan reporting and analytics tool for payers; and SmartPA, an evidence-based system for drug prescription prior authorization.

The applications may be deployed as standalone products or used in combination with the other systems, ACS said.
