Acuo Technologies has rebranded its MedSemantix-es system, formerly known as ARPS, and highlighted its HL7/XML/DICOM-based capabilities that bridge the information gap sometimes found between HIS/RIS and PACS. The system, showcased at SIIM 2007 last week in Providence, R.I., receives and decodes HL7 patient orders and report messages, and then creates a DICOM workflow equivalent message to the company’s AcuoMed Systems. Also, the system is able to manage information centrally, or control a fully decentralized network of AcuoMed nodes.
