Alaska Open Imaging Centers takes RealTimeImage iPACS
RealTimeImage (RTI) has installed its iPACS technology at Alaska Open Imaging Centers (AOIC), a multi-center radiology practice in Southern Alaska offering extensive remote reading services.
iPACS Enterprise advanced image communication and distribution technology is designed to allow AOIC radiologists to routinely read images from the practice's sites in Soldona, Anchorage and Wasilla. AOIC radiologists also use iPACS to read images in real-time over the Internet from facilities as remote as Maniilaq Health Center in Kotzebue, located above the Arctic Circle, more than 500 miles from Anchorage.
The practice expects more than 300 referring physicians to use RTI technology, which is connected to a full range of modalities - CR, CT, MRI, PET, nuclear medicine, ultrasound and digital x-ray.
