AMICAS Inc. this week announced its AMICAS Insight Dashboards, a product designed to consolidate information from both operational and clinical systems to provide a comprehensive view of an imaging business. This product was demonstrated at the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) 2006 Radiology Summit this week in Miami, Fla.

AMICAS Insight Dashboards is being specifically designed to provide total web-based access to customized, easy to read, graphical data for specific key performance indicators based on what a user wants to look at. These capabilities can help facilities with analytics related to anything from managing cash flow to projecting reimbursement impacts. For instance, the Dashboard includes a screen that will enable users to determine DRA (Deficit Reduction Act of 2005) impacts for individual procedures. Overall, the comprehensive system is being built as a way to help facilities evaluate technologist productivity and asset utilization, the company said.

Insight Dashboards is expected to be commercially available by Q1 2007.

Also at RBMA, AMICAS Inc. launched its Insight Services, a set of future service offerings that can be integrated with the Vision Series Financials platform. Insight Services is a suite of services designed for faster account resolution and reduced cost to service accounts.

The services will be available in customized combinations and include: electronic remittance; address enhancement services; standardized payer reports; return mail management -- a fully automated updating of return mail for patient statements to save time, money, and eliminate manual processes; national change of address -- capability to access national change of address files for patient statements that are fully integrated with your AMICAS financial system without manual intervention; electronic payment; electronic lockbox payment processing; and electronic statement archive.
