Amicas profits rise; losses decrease for Q3
Amicas reported unaudited financial results for the fiscal 2007 third quarter (end-Sept. 30), showing an increase in revenues and profit.

The Boston-based firm said its revenues for the period were $13.3 million, compared to $11.8 million for the third quarter of 2006.

Amicas booked a net income for the third quarter of 2007 of $374,000, compared to net income of $305,000, for the same quarter last year.

The firm also posted an operating loss for the third quarter of 2007 of $521,000, compared to $1.2 million in the year-ago quarter.
Amicas ended the third quarter of 2007 with a cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities balance of $75.1 million, no long term debt, and working capital of $70.2 million.
