Amirsys showcased STATdx, the first point-of-care, clinical decision support system for imaging during the 93rd scientific assembly and annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago last month.
STATdx Expert Differential Diagnosis generates key differentials including common, less common, and rare, but important, diagnoses. STATdx streamlines workflow by reducing the time required to research and complete a difficult imaging analysis. Its digital format ensures that radiologists can have access to on-demand reference tools wherever and whenever needed. STATdx is now PACS- and voice recognition-integrated, providing instant access within the radiologists’ workflow without separate login.
With the astronomical growth in healthcare data, Amirsys said the STATdx provides current, expert-created clinical imaging content to improve the accuracy, quality and workflow of patient care. Meanwhile, the company said that studies show that 93 percent of physicians practice defensive medicine and 43 percent reported that this caused them to use imaging technology unnecessarily. But if provided accurate, reliable and concise information, 29 percent of physicians reported correcting their initial diagnosis and 19 percent reported a resulting decrease in the length of inpatient stay.
