Applied Research Associates New Zealand (ARANZ) has released the SilhouetteMobile system, which is mobile software designed to assist physicians with wound care.

According to the Christchurch-based ARANZ, the portable computer device contains a custom camera, which allows medical professionals to capture information about a wound at the point-of-care, including photographic images, quantitative measures, and other user-entered wound assessment data. The company said all data can be procured without patient contact.  

The company said data captured by the system can be shared across healthcare information systems, such as PACS.
