Cardio-Vascular launches new cardiology PACS
Cardio-Vascular Sales (CVS) this week announced the launch of ComPACS, a picture archiving and communications system focused on cardiology.

ComPACS was build to assist with the special problems faced by large ultrasound installed facilities and the needs of all cardiology specialists. The system also is designed to eliminate the need for expensive ultrasound system upgrades, is PC-compatible, and includes a vendor and modality-neutral DICOM.

Key ComPACS features include:
  • Philips ultrasound native image and report data transfer from MOD
  • Viewing and archiving with robust security
  • Efficient analysis and reporting applications
  • Fully web-compatible
ComPACS is able to view all DICOM images, including ultrasound, intravascular ultrasound, nuclear medicine, angiography, MRI, CT, x-ray and Philips native ultrasound image formats. Also, the system's security module maintains strict HIPAA compliance, CVS said.
